Bristol days recalled

I just want to say well done to Dunstable Dasher for the atmospheric series of shots - the black and white suits the subject admirably and brings me back to when I lived in Bristol (1973 - 1974). I love these backwaters!
I used to live in Clifton; used to enjoy taking the train into Temple Meads as more reliable than the buses, but I remember sometimes walking to work at the Phoenix office in Redcliffe Hill via Ashton in hope of seeing an 08 taking a coal train down to Wapping Wharf if I struck lucky.
Why, oh why, didn't I take a camera with me more often? I might have looked a bit odd going into the office with a camera around my neck, I suppose. You can lose a lot by caring what you look like. These days I couldn't care less; too old for the birds and married anyway!
