Hi all,
I'm suprised no one has commented on the recent use of the middle siding at Bristol Temple Meads. I believe this is only the second time it has been used since the post office traffic departed...
The Cotwold Rail HST stabled there over the weekend in relation to a charter. Rather s*xy in my opinion!

Well they were going to put an up London through 3 to get 3 HSTs together but they felt that was taking that too far!

So all you really do all day in Bristol power box is line up trains so you can get good pictures of them?

Of course that's not what they do all day, they're far too busy looking for local trains to stick in front of Virgin Voyagers. Now watch the flak....

That's because they know the local units won't fail and block the line...

Erm, obviously you don't monitor FGWs performance?!!! I believe they have recently fallen below that of VXC. I'm not quite sure what's happening to them but set failures are alarmingly common and they're actually making Wessex look good.

No, theyÆre looking for the coal train coming out of Portbury. This is so that at Bedminister they can hold an up passenger train on the main while the coal passes it on the relief to go on through TM. At Barton Hill they then hold the same coal train so the same passenger train can pass it on the Up Filton!?
Not that I'm bitter or one to hold grudges you understand.

I'm sure it's nothing to do with the fact that Canton know First are to soon take the maintenance of the ex-Wessex units away from them and do it inhouse at SPM.
I mean they were p### poor before when they had Wessex to keep happy so they kept the business. Goodness knows what it must be like now!
