Bit advance notice..
Taken from http://www.past-timerail.co.uk/d1015.htm because it sounds worth repeating! Great day out
The Dartmouth Arrow Wednesday 24th August 2005
D1015 æWestern Champion' will haul a special train to the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta in the beautiful south Hams district of Devon. The highlight of the Regatta will be the display by the Red Arrows. This is one of the most spectacular displays the aerobatics team do as they fly over the port just skimming across the steep hills that surround Dartmouth - it really is a show to witness at first hand.
There will also be a flypast by the Battle of Britain flight and Lynx Helicopters. Leaving Bristol mid-morning relax as D1015 takes the strain as we head towards Kingswear.
On arrival at Kingswear take the foot ferry across the river Dart and explore the olde worlde port of Dartmouth before enjoying the spectacle of the Red Arrows and the other flying exhibits. Rejoin the train as D1015 speeds you homewards, after an enjoyable day at Dartmouth setting down as outward.
Approximate Timings
Bristol Temple Meads d11.00 a. 22.30
Nailsea & Backwell d. 11.15 a. 22.15
Yatton d. 11.25 a. 22.05
