Don't know anything about this engine, but I was there for lunch and my friend, who volunteers there, said it was on test and I should snap it. So I did, in between the rain and gales!

Met No.1 hauled 3 coaches the full length of the line today. Less than a mile away 70000 'Britannia' passed through Saltford en route from Southall to Barton Hill. <BJ>

Very nice photos. I believe the loco is at the Avon Valley Railway until Monday. <BJ>

Excellent set of photos, taken on the best day of the week, probably!

I only just managed to see it, once the engine reached the station, the testing had finished for the day.

Thanks for posting the information and your photo yesterday.

Met No.1 about to leave the AVR. The driver of the Alleys Group transporter told me the loco is en route to the SVR. <BJ>
