We had a very successful day filming the J15 today. The heavy showers kept the number of cyclists to a minimum and so 7564 crossed the river bridge at Riverside three times without anyone in the view .....and the sun was out on each occasion. We were very lucky.
What a wonderful sight the loco looks, especially with four maroon coaches in tow.
The HDV footage is available to the AVR for their commercial use, obviously free of any fees. <BJ>

I had a ride behind the J15 today at Bitton and was very impressed with the loco, the skill of the crew and the railway in general. Well done to the AVR.
Any chance of keeping the J15? ....wink, wink. <BJ>

Thanks for the comment.
It was a very well organised event. The weather was good, and the buffet stayed open. If the AVR want to do this again, I'm sure that there will be plenty of takers.
Thanks to all of the AVR staff for their time and help.

The roster for the Santa Specials on 22nd-24th Dec has changed. The trains are now to be hauled by the RSH.
Is there any chance of the J15 hauling the Mince Pie specials before the loco finally leaves Bitton .....pleeeease? <BJ>

My wish has been granted (sorry, I've just been to the pantomime). The J15 is now rostered for the 29th-30th December plus 1st January. <BJ>
