70013 'Oliver Cromwell' was in light steam at SPM this morning, in preparation for tomorrow's charter to Par.
71000 'Duke of Gloucester' was being cleaned and prepared for tomorrow's Torbay Express at Barton Hill. 60163 'Tornado' was also present.
<BJ> was on his way to B&Q to earn himself some brownie points in preparation for tomorrow's charters. <BJ>

I do enjoy those close-up line-side shots. I didn't get nearly as close at BTM or Dawlish, but here's my video. I did another of Duke of Gloucester, the link to which I'll post elsewhere.

I attached a lightweight Gorilla Pod to one of the lineside fences, and this held the Video Camera in position.
I'm pleased that you liked the clip.

I was on Royal Duchy ( and probably best place to be considering how bad weather was ) on Sunday. It was spectacular at Exeter where we took on water, we left BTM first and headed down, followed a bit later by the Duke.
Would have been better still if some one haddnt parked an HST other side of platform. loads of public with cameras waiting. The Duke steamed through quickly blowing whistle and of course ours did. What a racket . Some one said this was first time for about 60 years since last time similar had happened.
On way back saw the mess left in Dawlish after river had flooded town center. Plymouth / Par escaped with just light shower few spots.
Slipped a few times on the banks.

Footage of Tangmere from Sunday's Royal Duchy outing. Unfortunately I was unable to film it leaving Exeter as although it appeared to be ready to leave on time, it got held by a signal for so long, I had to leave to catch my own train or spend the night in Exeter! I saw the reference to low water pressure from the hydrant in a previous message but they had boarded everybody and seemed ready to leave for at least 15 minutes. Various crew kept visiting the area of the level crossing, but that's all I could see. It evidently departed just after my own train, the 20.55.

Did the incident at Worle cause that delay?

There were various warnings about that incident and the PA suggested those wishing to get to BTM should catch the 20.25 to London and change at Westbury. However, I caught the 20.55 and that arrived at BTM on time, so I don't know.
