Tornbury station

Does anyone know how far the railway ran up midland way or where the sation was at Thornbury? There is a old under passage that leads under midland way which now carries the road. It may have been a bridge for traffic once to pass under,a wall that has the same stonework of the brigde is further up by streamleaze road and looks like it could have been the station or a goods shead of some sort, it is visible from the road and now holds a elecricity powerbox. Could anyone shine some light on this query

If you type in Thornbury at
http://www.old-maps.co.uk/ and scroll down a bit you'll get a trackplan of the station. From this map it seems that the underpass was part of the original railway, taking a footpath under it. While on this page, click the 'view ariel photo' button to compare then and now.
I was up there a month or two back and got a load of pics, walked the line right up to the mainroad and was surprised just how much is left considering how long ago the station closed.
