A few of the guys at the D&EPG http://www.depg.org on the West Somerset Railway (from our "Small Engine Division") are currently putting together a book, which they are intending to be the fullest history yet of the Class 14 / D95XX, latterly known as Teddy Bears.

If any of you have information, memories, sightings / gen / pictures from the past - I'd be very happy to receive it here :D

Details of specific locos / dates / locations / workings would be particularly welcome. We are also interested in their post-BR careers, as over half the class ended up being sold for further industrial use. Bath Road had a sizeable allocation of Class 14s in the early 60s, so I'm hoping some of our senior regulars could share their experiences of working with them.

Many thanks!

Here's one of D&EPG's Class 14s to get you all going ...

They could sometimes be found on Barrow Road Shed in 1965 as it had a wheeldrop. They looked most out of place.
