Camp Hill Railway Line, Birmingham

As a Train Manager with XC at Birmingham, I am able to answer this one
We have several services booked via Camp Hill, mainly Manchester - Bristols. The Camp Hill line is a handy diversionary route when things go wrong on the West Suburban line and having services booked via Camp Hill means that train crews' road knowledge is kept up. There is also the advantage of freeing up space at New Street as trains using Camp Hill can be platformed on the west side of the station without the need to access the West Suburban line.
