Avonside Wharf

Now that Avonside Wharf is to finally disappear under new housing, Bristol is going to lose one of its most historically important industrial sites.
The wharf was the site of the original terminus for the first ever railway that reached Bristol.
It's sad that this important historical site is going to be lost without any mention in the press, or without some kind of memorial being erected on the spot.
