Four lines up Filton Bank

Post by madhattie »

Just been announced on the local news that Network Rail have asked the government for cash to relay extra tracks up Filton Bank. Presumably this could mean an extra platform at Filton Abbey Wood as well?

Other snippet was four tracks through Bedminster station, instead of the current three.

That's all I've got so far, nothing on the Evening Post or BBC Bristol websites.

Nowt about Portishead, doubling the Weston Loop or the Weston Bay.

Amazes me how, nowadays, adding one coach to a train warrants all this fuss.....

Just read it.
the journalist wrote: Recommended options that require funding from either government or third parties or require further review include:
"Funding needed from government," or
"Funding needed from third parties," and/or
"Need looking at more closesly"

Probably best not to hold your breath, then

Just caught mention on news when got in from work last night.
One thing missing though ( unless I missed it ) no mention of electrifying great western line. or has that been filed under B for bin.
