Railway Fair at Bath Green Park on 28/02 ?
Hi all,
Been registered a few months now on here but not posted as yet. Recently taken more of an interest in railways after a gap of about 20 years. Anyway, i am not sure where i can remember hearing/reading or even whether I have totally made it up but would anyone know if there is such thing as a Railway Fair/Fayre on at the Bath Green Pk station ?

There was a bit about it in the Bath Chronicle
Railway enthusiasts are expected to head for Bath next month for an auction of items from transport history.
Among the highlights will be a piece of signalling equipment which allowed trains to safely operate over the single line from Bath to Midford on the old Somerset and Dorset line, which closed in March 1966.
The event will take place at Bath City FC on Sunday, March 8.
The token from a Tyers Number 6 tablet instrument û a system for preventing two trains occupying the same stretch of line at the same time û is also among the 50 lots being sold at the auction.
The auction is part of a Rail Fair, featuring a variety of stalls selling models and railwayana together with society stands and displays.
Also being auctioned are other items of signalling equipment from the North Somerset Line and a rare Great Western Railway key from Pictors Siding, which served a former stone quarry near Box Tunnel.
Although not marked with the names, there are various brass plates which are believed to have come from signal boxes at Bath and Mangotsfield.
The auction, which starts at 2pm, is being arranged by collector Paul Baulch to raise funds for the Avon Valley Railway at Bitton. The auctioneering will be carried out by Mike Wyatt, another keen collector and volunteer at the local heritage railway.
The items for auction will be on display for public viewing when the fair opens at 10am. Admission is free and further details about the auction are available from Mr Baulch on 0117 932 5027.
The fair is being organised by Mike Bass, who operates the Strawberry Line Miniature Railway at the Avon Valley Country Park at Keynsham, and any profits made from it are being donated to the Children's Hospice South West.
Space is available for anyone who would like to set up a table selling unwanted railway items and further details can be obtained from Mr Bass on 07960 151286.
On Saturday, February 28, a railway film show will be taking place at The Mission Theatre in Bath at 2pm. Tickets are priced at ú4 with a ú1 reduction for concessions, and these can be booked on 01225 336161.

There as been nothing in the latest bath chronicle about either event...and there are no posters up at green park, advertising the event there...so I am as sure as I can be that the green park event is off.
