Warmley Signal Box refurbishment

Cycled past the signal box at Warmley on Saturday and there are notices up saying that the "Save Warmley and Siston Green Spaces" group are planning to restore it "to its former glory".

Not sure whether that means a historically accurate restoration or that they'll DIY it until it looks nice.

My father worked as a carpenter in the Signal & Telegraph department in Bristol, and I was taken to Warmley box from time to time as a kid when he was working there.

I hope they don't replace too much of his handiwork :)

They have asked for a copy of my photo as shown on this forum.

Will be interesting to see if they use it.
