Oot and a boot in East Bristol - now even Easter

Post by WR Tim »

I've just posted a thread on RMWeb with a few shots from the two overbridges in St Anne's Park, by the river in Conham and with the camera poked over/through the fences around the three depots.

http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=38763

Does anyone know whether the way down to the site of St Anne's Park station via St Anne's Terrace is a public right of way or private property? I think I'll get slightly better pictures and have a bit more privacy from there than from the Wick Road bridge.

For that matter does anyone know whether the fields alongside the line between the eastern portal of Bristol No 3 Tunnel and the A4174 overbridge are public parks or private property (and whether you can get close enough to the line to get a shot)?

The trouble with posting links to RM Web is that I then spend ages reading at that forum when I'm supposed to be/wanting to be doing other things!

We are the borg. We will assimilate you :)

The main reason for posting on RMWeb is that it's actually easier to upload pictures there than any of the (free) photo hosting sites that I've come across (which either seem to cap and resample pictures at pants quality or have bandwidth limits) and it makes it a lot easier to put together a post with text.

I've updated my topic on RMWeb with some pictures taken about 2 miles sotuh-east of Conham River Park along the towpath. A bit nicer for photography this time, though the wrong time of day for this location.

It's on the stretch of line that runs along the river bank between Foxes Wood Tunnel and the A4174 overbridge. Madhattie - there don't seem to be any images of this section on the main website. I'd be happy to supply higher quality files if you would like to put any of these images up there.

Really like this place and I think I'll be back there with my camera sooner rather than later :)

Hey up!

Yes please, send me higher res versions of these!

I'm currently ploughing through 300 odd photos of the Stroud area, but will add them as soon as my mood swings

Alternatively, I'm more than happy to give you editing rights and you can upload them and add the page yourself! (and the photos from around St Philips Marsh!)
