Building the M32

On the BBC Bristol website theres a short film from the 50's about the proposed M32, theres some footage of Cannons marsh goods yard & also the viaduct by Muller rd.

News presenters were very posh back then!

I didn't know it was originally called the "Bristol Parkway"...presumably this is how the station got its name. Was this the first "Parkway" station, with the name subsequently being applied to many stations not entirely near the towns they serve?

Bristol parkway was the first parkway station, M32 parkway as it came into Bristol through the park land of the Dower House etc.

I seem to recall there was some kind of competion to name the station.
Might be wrong; usually I am.
