Hi folks, We went for a nice walk today on part of the Strawberry line (Axbridge to Winscombe) and took some photos . If anybody wants them i can email them to you. Here's a few for starters..........

Next one is a bit blurry! Thats what you get for working nights, everythings blurry!

Thanks for posting those links ex-shunter, nice photo's . To show them as an image in the post you can use the tags as opposed to the tags, although I would resize them first as they are quite large!!

EDIT: I've now linked it to the thumbnail instead to save time taken to load page.

Thanks for the info, but i did try the image tags and when i submitted the post, the pics still were not showing?? I must be doing something wrong but i havn't a clue what it is! The links used point to thumbnails of the images as your quite right, they are rather large!

Edit: i have just changed the tags to [img] but they still don't work??

Ok I've worked out what was going wrong.

The /1 appended to the url address for the image is as you say a thumbnail sized version, however to include it in this forum it needs to have .jpg added to the end as well. Also the spaces in the file names need to be written as %20.

If you want the thumbnails to link to the full size versions you need to embed the thumbnail in the url address like this:

Thanks a lot for bringing a tear to my eye , the branch all the way round to Bristol was something special and who destroyed it ? the Tories and when they get half the chance they will destroy some more!

I drove past Sanford/Banwell station yesterday & it looks like theres alot of clearing going on, I think the actual station is on private land but you can now clearly see the station & goods shed from the road. I think it was a builders merchants or something before & they had lots of buildings around it but they have now all been removed.

Its a nice bike ride in the summer, start at Yatton & follow it all the way through Thatchers cider orchards, aahh the smell of fermenting apples, have a pint of Thatchers gold in the railway tavern by Sandford/Banwell then head on back. Lovely

It's been a while since I cycled out that way and I don't remember seeing a tree growing in a "mini-bay platform" (the "loading platform" image) or 2 curving stone pillars.

Where were these two pictures taken?

May have to get the bike up to Yatton and go along the route from there to Winscombe and back (or Cheddar if I'm feeling up to it!)

The pics were taken at Winscombe last weekend. The "Stone Pillars" shot was taken looking towards Yatton.
It does make for a very picturesque walk but would be so much better being viewed from a train.

Ah, I've yet to go from Winscombe toward Yatton. Cheers.
