I've never seen so many different trains than over those two days...20s close up at Bridgwater, 31s, 153s, Voyagers, HSTs, at Temple Meads, 37's at Barton Hill, a 66-hauled Pullman train at Bath Spa, hundreds of class 67s shunting tankers, 08s, and 66s pulling coal (?) trains around Didcot...and not forgetting the little GWR saddle tank working at the Didcot railway centre! Lots of those ugly little blobs that First Great Western Link use, and of course the Eurostar too!
On the way back there were more 66s and a 60! Don't think I've seen a 60 before...and then a Freightliner 59 (or 66...think it was a 59) and a class 47 in the sidings on the other (Down) side of the tracks near Barton Hill on the approach to Temple Meads. Not many 47s about these days.
And then the strangers I mentioned at the start of this long rambling post
Go and take pics of the 47 if it's still there
Oh yeah and an HST in Barbie livery but with white on the cab...haven't seen that variation before
