We do have occasional meetups, but nothing quite as...ribald...as your Valeging expeditions (oh yes I've seen the YouTube footage!).

We're quite happy with the way this forum is at the moment to be honest: we have regular posters from all walks of life, both young, old, beautiful, and Pete. There's always the possibility of becoming a mod, but you will have to be here for a while first so we can get to know you.

One more little thing...could you please try to refrain from using text speak...it confuses the oldies. :P

Cheers,

James.

Welcome aboard

Post by jules »

Nobody is making fun at you Matt. Just view it as a bit of rib-tickle

Honestly mate, welcome aboard. It's always good to have new people that are genuinely interested in rail on here.

For many years, this site (and its moderators) have provided the best forum for all things Bristol rail-related and the majority users seem to like it that way.

Don't be surprised though that if you pop-up from nowhere and then suggest we all need "a shaking up" you might raise a few eyebrows.

It would be the same on any well-established forum

The forums are okay as is at the mo. I like to try to keep everything Bristol related as much as possible, and I think that introducing more sections would increase the chance of more chit-chat of a non-railway kind.

Having said that, if you think there's a hole that needs plugging then by all means let me know, and if I agree I'll add it. :)
