It's a busy week for D&EPG down at Williton next week, with at least one member of the fleet in service every day. Why not call down for some heritage haulage if you have a day free :o)

Current allocations as follows:

17th July: Class 25 D7523. (25173)
18th & 19th July: Class 33 D6566 (33048)
20th & 21st July: Clas 47 D1661 (47840)
22nd July: Class 25 D7523 (25173)
4th and 5th August. Class 14 D9526 in use.

J.

PS Would you believe I am writing this from San Jose, California?! Land of the 6,000 ton, 100+ wagon freight train. Neat! :o)

Don't know how many 14's it would take. But three 9F's would do it.

2000 tonnes pulled by black prince a few years back

How many 14's ....

Based on the 4 coach capacity of our 14 on the WSR, 27 14's ought to just about do it ...

That would be 17,550 brake horse power, which is about right for the four GM's quad-headed I saw in use here.

It only took just over five minutes for the train to clear the crossing :)
