6024 King Edward I "Pembroke Coast Express"

Post by Rich_Eason »

Popped on down to a rather wet and cold FAW this morning to watch the Pembroke Coast Express pass through...

Eventually running approx 50mins late it came through - anyone know the reason why?

Cold, wet and shivering I managed to get a shot although not happy with it, the rain was pouring.

I'm still wanting to get a decent shot of this loco, however everytime I track it down it seems to bring rain/bad weather with it!

The Pembroke Coast express was late due to work at BTM. Had to stand on a freezing platform for nearly an hour. Then no heating on train. Froze all day. Train didn't reach Pembroke. after the delay at TM there were signalling faults at Port Talbot causing further delays and loco stalled on Cocket bank. Eventually getting into Carmarthen 2 hours late. Decision was made to return to Bristol. Finally got back on time then got soaked getting to the car.
