Wow... news gets out doesn't it?! It's not confirmed yet as far as I know. It's being organised by a few of the signalmen in Bristol Panel to raise money as part of the "Three Peaks Challenge." When I know stuff I'll post some Gen...

I would be tempted to come down from London for this tour if it gets the green light.

Maybe a suitable trip for a Bristol Railway Archive meet ?

   That was my contribution to the tour, inspired by reading an article about how Colston Hall should be renamed in the Evening Press!

Sadly I also appear to have committed to designing and producing the headboard. :(

It's my fault that the Yeovil Betrothal is called what it is, but thankfully I don't have to make a headboard...that's been left to "some guy called Ivan". I'll see if I can get contact details if you like?

A sample of the work-in-progress:

Do you know the order in which the branches will be visted? Getting to Gloucester from Taunton that early on a Sunday involves 3 trains!

I'll come ...

I'll buy a ticket. What an excellent way to spend a Sunday and help a charity too. How about a Bristol Railway Archive coach? Lets see if we could fill a few seats and all finally meet up ?

Shame about the traction though (but I have to say that as Treasurer of D&EPG)! :D

Looks great so far! I think we're going for a circular affair with the name of the tour around the outside and a 50 passing under the clifton suspension bridge as the image.

Alex,

Are you able to answer the question about pick up points. i.e. is it Glos only or will it pick up elsewhere?

9.00am off Glos is bit earlier for us in the South-east but 10.30am off Bristol is "doable"

No details yes, I'll see what I can find out for you though. I think she's coming direct to Bristol from Gloucester though...

Well, I've spent the night shuffling around the schedules of my family, my babysitters and the entire cast of the local am-dram group, but I'm glad to say I am now free to go on this tour! :D

It would be a great way for all (or some) to meet up. If it makes it easier, I'm happy to act as a middleman and take the money and do one big booking in order to make sure we all sit in the same part of the train. You'll have to trust that I'm not going to run off with your cash of course, but then I've always been easily contactable (working at the Book Cupboard) so hopefully you'll be happy, if you so wish, to trust me to do the job in an honest way.

I will of course, be completely untrustworthy in return, and only book seats for people who pay upfront!

Or, of course, we can all book individually, and just make sure we all say hello on the day!
