Aerial views in 3D on Microsoft Virtual Earth

In addition to the loc.alize.us site check out local.live.com for the MS Virtual Earth maps/views - now with 3D. Great for following the tracks of long gone railways - esp in the Bristol area where higher definition is available. Take a look at Barton Hill -
http://local.live.com/default.aspx?v=2& ... ne=4248911 - and count the steam engines 'on shed'! I make 2 xGWR (6024 + another?) and an A4 (No 9 presumably) with support coaches.
Anyone know when these were around together i.e. when was the pic taken ....?

Hi Dwight, it was in August 2005. Two of the engines as you say were 6024 King Edward I and 60009 Union of South Africa, the other was 5029 Nunney Castle.

Always use windows live local much better the google earth
