There's a bug inthe software that affects view posts since last visit

If you click on that option, read some posts then go back to the view posts since last visit and press refresh - doesn't matter how long you wait it comes up with the error message
"You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."

I've not been able to replicate this problem unfortunately! Can someone else have a go and let me know the results?

The search flood interval is set quite high, 50 seconds I think, so you currently need to not refresh until after the 50 seconds are up. This is after some toerags tried to bring the server crashing down by doing automated searches in the thousands.

You'd think people would have better things to do, but there you go....

I can drop the refresh number down by a bit if it is a problem though.

Yes there is a small bug.

When you 'view posts since last visit' then open up one of those posts and then go back to the view posts since last visit page the post which you have just viewed is still shown as not being read. When you try to refresh the page it returns the error described by Simon.

Previously it was as above except that when you did a refresh it would show the post as read and not cause an error.

Ok, I've dropped the search flood limit down to 10 seconds. Have another go and tell me what happens. I'm still unable to replicate this problem at my end for some reason! (so can't test it!)
