Did you get any pics of the old Worle station/goods shed/signalbox while you were there? :)

Nope! Actually I haven't worked out where to go looking for the old station just yet! I'm not familiar with much of the railways around WSM and the old station isn't on any map I have. Got a road name for me to aim at?

I did go here though:

I -think- this used to be Puxton?

The old station is just north of that crossing, with the station building (now a private house I think...it has a lean-to porch/conservatory or something on the trackside..erm...side) on the right (facing towards Bristol) and the goods shed just north of that in a large flat area that must have been the yard. There's a similar area on the up side which I expect was more sidings at one time.

You would probably have seen it if you faced the other way

As for road names, you can't really argue with "Station Road" can you?

p.s. the station was called Puxton And Worle at one time, not sure about other names

Aha!! :P

Now, you see, I thought the original Worle Station that was replaced by Worle Parkway was actually on the Weston Loop part of the line!

According to reference books I have there was Puxton on the main line, then Worle on the loop, then Milton, also on the loop.

Now I'm confused!

Anyway's, as for the photo above. I didn't take a pic of the old station house because I didn't think it was appropriate really, not enough visible from the road to get a good pic, and I didn't fancy knocking on the door and trying to explain I wanted a pic for a website... (people just don't understand  )

But, I did take a pic of what I assumed was some kind of goods shed. There was an old style railway building with a falling-down concrete extension on a flat bit of land that had a gate protecting it. (except the gate had a dirty great hole in it and didn't stop me!)

Was this the goods shed you mean?

Yep, sounds like it. Not a "proper" goods shed with a single road through it, but just a building.

Everything I know is just what I see from passing trains though
