Anyone interested in the WC&P ? I have produced a website www.wcandpr.org.uk about the railway.

We have just launched a new group - the WC&P Railway group, and are looking for more members. For aims of the Group see above website.

Any other comments welcome.

Excellent website Paul. One of the reasons I've never bothered doing anything on the W&CPR on here is because yours is so comprehensive. 8)

Yep an excellent site.

There was a BBC series in the 90's called seaside trains or something similar - they had programes on the WC&P; west somerset and the Highbridge Branch. (maybe more but that's all I taped).

The WC&P one included film of an O gauge model of part of the line.

I have copies on video - but they are poor quality. Does anyone know if the series was ever released commercially?

I've just checked with the BBC, and they say the series was not released commercially. The series was called "The Seaside Trains" and the episode about the WC&P was called "The pretty way to Weston".

As you say it included shots of an O gauge model railway - Nailsea Model Railway Club's layout. There was also some rare 1930s cine footage.

I have a VHS copy and the programme captured the essence of the railway very well. Maybe oneday they'll release a DVD??
