According to
www.thejunction.org.uk FGW now have 158778 and 158798 in stock. '798 is a real 3-car unit. Has anyone seen these yet?
The transfer of '798 is a surprise as a source on another forum was fairly confident that FGW would no longer be using 3-car units of any description as the CDF-PMH service would be operated by 2 x 2-car units.
Update 10th Nov: A conductor told me that a 3-car unit has indeed arrived.

How many of them are there down here now? I got a ride in the (ex) first class of 158762 from Keynsham to Temple Meads on Wednesday...those seats are so comfortable!
158750, however, is still in Regional Railways livery and features the original 2+1 smaller first class section!

The confirmed ex-TPE fleet now with FGW is 158750/760-766/769/776 with the possibility of 158767/768/771 as reported by Railway Magazine and 158778/798 as reported by The Junction website.
And yes they are all in much better condition than the ex-Wessex units especially the
First class sections.

Sadly the guard told me that the first class sections are all going to be stripped out when FGW "refurbish" them.
