There is an update on 6024 on Huw Button's website (The Crimson Pirate on NP) http://huwbutton.com/6024/main.htm

6201 was sat where Bittern was this morning.

34067 is also due into Bristol this Saturday which could mean 4 steam loco's at Barton Hill one from each of the big 4!! (if Bittern doesn't leave??)

Bittern had smokebox door open and was moved across part of the yard about 15.00 today. Will post proof on my fotopic site.

Either Princess Elizabeth's support team have removed the nameplates or some b has done it for them...

Bittern passes trial run !

We are pleased to be able to say that 'A4' No. 60019 Bittern has now passed its trial run and has been accepted on to Network Rail. Therefore, barring any last-minute difficulties, we are confident that it will be available for our revised 'Talisman' date of October 13. Due to the date change, there are now once again a few seats available - for details call our booking agents Steam Dreams on 01483 209886. Tickets start from ú72.50.

I had a look at a couple of sites, firstly the Mid Hants Loco Shed site refers to a successful Test Run from Bristol to Southall, and secondly the Railway Touring Co is running a trip with Bittern this Sat up to York from Kings X.

60019 Bittern will not be hauling the KX - York charter because of paperwork issues. How many times can the charter train companies bite their tongues and continue in business? <BJ>

So where is the loco now? Is it still at Bath Road? Surely having a loco standing idle is not good for the mechanicals or the funding of the group....
