Okay, so Broadmead is a hole. The council of the time seemed determined to finish off what the Germans had started when they bombed the place and Bristol has ever since been blighted by a huge concrete mess which becomes a no-go zone once darkness falls.
And then, they demolished the only decent building there, Fairfax House, in order to build the Galleries.
So you wouldn't think it could get worse, and normally I'd have to applaud anyone who said they were going to rebuild the place.

Ah well, more places to avoid.
Even worse than approving this mess is the fact that they have only just finished rebuilding the junction at the bottom of the M32. Spent a bloody fortune on it, right down to nice shiny new railings, and streetlamps with flags on them. Why did they spend all that money when they knew they were going to be demolishing it all again one year later?
