Are you sure it was as late as 1965? I knew the line quite well from 1962 and don't remember it being there.

(Thats not to say it wasn't of course, just that I don't remember it!!)
There is a photo in Mitchell and smith's book dated 1960 that show the lines still in place, but very rusty, Im sure ive seen a later dated one too but cant put my finger on it right now.
