Having worked on the ebbw vale project as a signalling installer I can vouch for the earlier statement that all people do is grumble and say nothing. Whilst working on the job all the public were over the moon with what was happening and could not wait to get on the trains. However not many of them campaigned for it.

I think that the Portishead line would be the same kettle of fish!
