Charfield pass 0705.
Watch out for the ECS move on the Sunday morning. We might zip up to Glos overnight with one of the 47's when the charter gets back and collect 47810. So the ECS will be 3*47 back to East Ham via Badminton, depart 1110 if I remember correctly.
I'm told we've also got 47703 at TM tonight - the whole CR fleet seems to be gathering at TM!

Bit early in the day for good publicity shots (especially in the dark up Filton Bank!), but I may try getting it on vid.

I knew those flags weren't going to last!
Never mind, only ú1.99 each from the Llandudno Gift Store. They also probably don't meet "group standards", Ooops!
Thanks to those that came along and sorry about the knackered Motor Alternator on the TSO giving you a flashing light show and no heat. I hope the alternative accomodation in the FO suited you.
Next trip out from Bristol is 1st December to York ....

The hardy types actually stayed in the "disco" coach there and back and it wasn't cold at all......there wasn't any ice on the inside of the window!!

Did that happen in the end Jules? I hung around on various bridges in Lockleaze for as long as I could before the sprogs decided it was boring and wanted to go swimming instead, but never saw them. (didn't see much of anything actually!)
I should probably reactivate my Yahoo gen groups!

Yes it happened, but not quite as planned. I believe we went to Gloucester with one loco, picked up 47810, bought it back to Bristol and then took the whole lot off to London.
Not sure what time this was (would have been after 9) but the return ECS arrived about 65 late in London.
You obviously missed it!
