I've tried phoning to get permission, but haven't managed to get a person who has a clue what I'm on about! Will keep trying though.

So did anyone see it? I left the bedroom window open in hope it might wake me but no. Did it all go ok?

One of those point camera over the wall and hope for the best type shots!!

Tangmere can be seen in the background, it arrived earlier this morning. The King must be in one of the sheds.

Noticed Bittern was still there today as I passed - bunked into the depot to take some pics before the automatic gates swung shut - just like the old days.... I see from the Steam Tours web site its next outing on 15th ('The Coronation' - KX to Scarborough) has been cancelled but it's still down for 'The Talisman' the following Saturday so presumably it'll be fixed and moved shortly.

The Mid Hants Railway site has some updated news on Bittern, and a short film of the work on the big end.

I have taken some shots of the A4 this afternoon.
