Come on people over 1000 hits and only a few of us brave ?enough to tell you who we are. we are partaking in an interesting subject with superb contributors and discussions and old timers like me really do like to see and hear the latest news and photos. So come on please.

Well, Mr. Forse,
I did bump into Harold Bridgeman the other day on my train. He's been retired for many years and looks younger now than when I worked with him at Bath Road. It must be a lack of four a.m. book-ons that keeps him looking twenty years younger than he is.........

:D well done chaps nice to know you as for Harold Bridgeman I saw him at the Bath Road annual get together last night and he is ok and many more of the retired staff many of them steam drivers and a lot of them fired to the top link drivers in the 50"s on the Bristolion.

Well, I've been on this site for many years, but I thought I'd just do an update as I've a new job :D

I'm now Charter Trains Manager for Cotswold Rail, based in Gloucester. My travelling office is in the back of the Blue Pullman. You'll see us passing through (or starting from) Bristol about once a month on Heartland Railtours jobs. Why not come join us for a day out sometime? :D

I am also Treasurer of the Diesel & Electric Preservation Group at Williton on the West Somerset Railway, home of D1010, D1661, D2133, D3462, D6566, D7017, D7018, D7523 & D9526.

Hi All, thought I would introduce myself

Name; Rob Owst

Live; Brought up just south of Bristol, and went to school at the Cathedral School near college green, my Grandparents lived in Westbury on Trym and I regularly travelled on the Severn Beach line during school hols with my Grandad. Moved to Wiltshire back in 04 when I got married, but now live just outside Silverstone.

Occupation: Warehouse Planning Manager for a major wiltshire based Logistics company, currently based at a distribution centre near the m1 in Northampton.

Interests: Class 37's (have been a member of the Growler Group over half my life), railway modelling - I have just completed a layout called "Pallet Lane" with inspiration taken from Lawrence Hill and Clifton Down stations set in the late 70's which had its first show at Corsham in January. I am also into Series Land Rovers and have rebuilt a series 3 as well as enjoying country walks with my wife.
