The Christmas Bristolian running with 6024 King Edward I on Dec 12th from Temple Meads to London via Bath, Chippenham and Swindon.

After the run back to Bristol, it appears that the King is going to run down to the West Somerset Railway.
There isn't anything on when the King moves to Bristol before the run to London.

Yet again, this loco still manages to illude me from getting a half decent shot of it.
This morning the winters gloom was still around and so required high ISO and coupled with a hundred weight of mud on my feet and legs I was getting pretty grumpy, and a shot I'm not at all happy with.

I videoed it at Christian Malford this morning and then went over to Cholsey to take another shot.
The weather was better in Oxfordshire, but they ran it on the up fast rather than the slow line that I was expecting, so my chosen position on a footbridge over the cutting meant that there was more shadow than I anticipated when I picked the location!
I shall go to Chippenham station tonight to have third go and, if the video turns out to be any good, I will put it on Youtube.

I wondered who was stuck in that field at Saltford. It looks like a good picture to me. Although it was desparately cold and overcast.

I noticed that there were quite a few people taking pictures at Bath Spa. Seemed to be quite a few flashes going off. Lovely shot.

It was a shame that this tour was not during the summer, but it was a great run after the water stop at Wantage.
