Reminds me of the old joke set in an Train Enquiry office:

Customer: "Has the London train arrived yet?"

Clerk: "No, its late"

Customer: "Why is it late?"

Clerk: "It hit a cow."

Customer: "Oh. Was it on the line?"

Clerk: "No - the driver chased it over a couple of fields but he got the bugger in the end"
