Well done tugboatcharly2,keep those stories coming.Like the injector says, imagine that scene today,it would be absolute manic.
After an engine was recovered from the snow after so long,was there any special work that needed to be done before it was back in duty?
and were you given any time off after spending so much time in the snow.

There was no time off both Clive and myself were on points clearing at Temple Meads station on Saturday night.On Monday I was took sick, my blood was too cold they call it hypotherma to day and i did get a week in bed.
The locos would have been took to the shed thawed out if necessary and checked out, boiler check and re filled a good oiling then back to work. all in all the first three months were pretty rough both on the roads and rail. May be I might come up with a true tale. :lol:
