All being well, Bittern should be running from London to Bristol on Saturday,24th November. This will be the loco's first revenue earning charter in recent years. The train runs via Newbury and the Avon Valley (no not Bitton!!) in each direction. Although Bittern was in service at the Mid-Hants yesterday, I feel that the the loco should have put in more miles before being let loose on the big railway. Never the less, let's keep our fingers crossed for next Saturday.

Several people have mentioned a problem accessing the uksteam website. For some reason it's working for some but not for others. <BJ>

Latest update from RYTC.

Dated Monday, 19th November.

"We are currently awaiting final timings from Network Rail which are expected shortly.
Your tickets will be sent to you on Tuesday, 20th November".

Sounds promising. <BJ>

Nooooooooooooooooooo
It is with much regret that we write to inform that the Bath and Bristol train on Saturday 24th November has been cancelled. This train has been cancelled due to resourcing issues. All customers are being notified of this by letter.
And the weather was looking good for some decent pics....
