It has been reported on the web site of the Bath Chronicle that a fatality occurred at Freshford station on Tuesday evening when a man was hit by an EWS service employed on a leaf clearing working.

condolences to the family, I was at Freshford 3 weeks ago Fishing, I go by train so when I get off I am on the right side of the tracks and there is a little kissing gate by the side of the bridge so you do not have to go off the platform. I always use the bridge coming back
I first fished there in 1955 with another fireman from Bath rd who showed me where it was .
In those days to get higher up the river we used to walk along the line and over the railway bridge down over the embankment and on to the river.
Now the only way is to go to Avoncliff and walk back along the field, a long walk when you are 69 years young and carrying a load of gear so Don't fish there very often these days

Agree with you about the swim opposite the pub, had some lovely barbel from there on meat, and on casters with maggot feed, to go very off topic for a bitInjector wrote:
