EWS both ends when it went past wylye, the southern belle must of puffed it last somewhere before salisbury

There's a diesel charter today run by EWS from London Victoria to Bath Spa, so hopefully that was what you saw!!

thats what i saw, it clears up why what i saw had vsoe rolling stock, but still no steam gone past me here yet and there is a whistle sign right by my house so unless i was totally occupied i am sure i would not of missed it. the strange thing is the vsoe went past at the time for the steam dreams tour.

was due to leave salisbury at 12:25, i was outside at wylye until 12:45 and did not see it, somehow it must of got passed me or it is still in salisbury. love to know.

Managed to get it on the way back, but by this time it was a little to dark for good photos, the best of the batch is on the following link

Next time i will stand outside longer and try not to mistake two ews locos on the VSOE for Lord Nelson, like him i must have had one eye closed!!

just south of wylye, there are a couple of farm crossings that give good views
