Work at Narroways Junction

Post by jules »

Seems there is quite a lot of work going on in the vicinty of Narroways Junction on the old up and down main formation. Cable conduit work, ground clearance, levelling ....

Anybody know what is going on?

Surely not the first signs of quadrupling? (Somehow doubt it!)

I've heard it's becoming a market garden, something with poly tents? Bit of a pain it's not another 2 tracks but I guess at least the land is only being leased and homes aren't being built there. Might improves security as well...

New Sleepers

Post by jules »

Well, the area has now been green zoned with the running lines taped and sheeted off and a load of new concrete sleepers have been delivered on site.

Existing track replacement work presumably? Agreed, would be great to see four tracks through Stapleton Road again ....

I think Narroways Junction is up for renewal soon. Perhaps they're laying them out on site. A market garden is meant to be appearing somewhere on Filton bank though!
