I noticed a posting on the 'notorious' RMWeb site, someone had posted photographs of the English Electric Type 3 diesels or Class 37s sitting at the end of the Barton Hill depot.
Are they still in use, one looks as if it is primed for a new livery, but what are they, or were they? Are they being cannibalised or scraped?

A later posting on the above thread about these diesels shows mushrooms or toadstools growing somewhere inside the Grey one. It is worth checking out.

They have been there a looooooooooooooooooong time.
I think the grey primer'ed one has had its engine removed IIRC as I seem to recall it once with its top open for a while and could see through the grills to t'other side.
What is happening to them god knows. I'd imagine they are slowly being canabilised
