Last night, about 18:00, I noticed a low loader with a Standard 4Mt Tank 80136, heading down the M5 towards the M4 junction. I presume it was heading on to WSR. Wished I had the camera with me the time.

45407 and 76079 arrived by rail in the small hours, 73129 came in by road this evening. Only leaves the 9F - 92212 or a substitute - and Tangmere which is working in on Saturday to have the full gala line up on the line.

WSR Forthcoming gala

Post by DAVE »

Steve
Thanks for the latest gala information, visited your websites, superb!
Highly recommended to all railway enthusiasts.
I believe the 9F is coming in by road as it does not have mainline clearance certification.

Latest news is that 92212 is unlikely to be ready, "details to follow" of its replacement. It would have been coming by road as NR still haven't accepted flangeless drivers.

WSR 9F AT GALA

Post by DAVE »

The WSR have saved the day and managed to obtain 92203 from David Shepherd and the 9F will arrive from the Gloucester and Warwick Railway for the full duration of the gala.
The loco will hace a cylinder covered fitted on arrival at the WSR and will hopefully cover all services allocated to 92212 over both weekends.
