I live in London and have relations in Bath. in October last year I was taken on the cycle track from Bath to Bristol and was fascinated by the railway architecture. The person I was with was not a railway buff and I didn't want to bore them so I decided to go again on my own which I duly did in February
I was fascinated and wanted to see the area near the end of the path in what I now know is Lawrence Hill, particularily the large bridge where the existing track runs right by the path which had obviously seen better days. I thought I might take a few pictures when I got there. Unfortunately I had to give up at Mangotsfield and turn back due to a puncture which took ages to fix which really ****** me off
I found this site today and was amazed to see the excellent pictures of the Lawrence Hill Midland bridge which of course was exactly where I was trying to get to which told me everything I wanted to know and more
The strange bit........ well the date of my trip, as you put it...... "The sun was very bright, and very low in the sky on a bitterly cold February 19th 2004" yep the day the pictures were taken. What are the chances of two people heading to a destination like that to photograph it at the same time or of me finding the pictures here
Well I think its a bit strange anyway
PS any chance of some photos of the end of the line by the waste transfer station
PPS great site keep it up
