A very nice surprise for me yesterday! My train passed through Bedminster and was just approaching Temple Meads when I noticed a stationary line of green (and red) MkI coaches up ahead and on the right. "Aha," I thought, "probably one of those diesel hauled railtours", so I kept watching to see what loco was on the front.
Turned out there was nothing attached to either end so I was confused for a few seconds, until I saw the back end of another MkI further up the line, and then the beautiful sight of 60009 and her support coach reversing on to the train
I waited in the station for a while, and then decided to go down to Bath Road bridge to see if I could get a pic...but just crossing the road before the river bridge I saw a cloud of smoke drifting up from first the right, and then the left of the rail bridge ahead.
Bugger
Anyway, I watched the coaches passing over the river and then went back into the station where I found the train at the main up platform (3?) and took a couple of closeups
I've never seen an A4 "in the flesh" before, and they were my favourites from when I was a little kid, so that made my day
Who am I kidding...I'm still a little kid
*bounces happily*
