WARNING OF MAINLINE TRAINS DISRUPTION

Rail travellers heading to London from Exeter this weekend are being warned to expect disruption from engineering work. Track renewal work will be going on both tomorrow and on Sunday and customers are advised to check their train times with First Great Western before setting out. Maintenance work between Slough and Maidenhead from tomorrow night until Monday morning means some lines will be closed and services subject to re-timing and alterations.
On Sunday, two out of four lines will be closed between Southall and Hayes and some services may be retimed.
The line between Reading and Westbury will be closed on Sunday so all trains to and from Exeter and Newton Abbot will be diverted via Swindon.
