Not being a film buff in the slightest, I had to look that lot up

I can assure Ralph and anybody else who might be wondering that I am not old enough to have appeared on the foorplate of a 4F in a film made in 1955 ;)

I'll be there :D

Just packing my suitcase for the 4,990 mile journey back to Bristol from Portland, Oregon. At least the first 70 miles will be on Amtrak :D

Yes and showing the upstart behind it the way to do things- I was on the 4F on the Friday, and the Flying Pig on the saturday, the day of the photo. My fireman Ian "Mini me" Davies is driving there whilst yours truly is playing with the shovel.

It was all peaceful like with the 4F on the front but when we did the non stop to Haworth on our own Mini me kept me very busy. The cab was a bit more comfy, though noisy but give me 82E's Finest, any day.

See you all on Monday.

A friend is asking in advance of Monday evening if anybody ex Bath Road might remember a Bath Road / Hanover exchange back in the 50s / 60s?

There was a wall plaque at the depot commemorating the event apparently ...

I'll be coming by train from Redland arriving BTM at 20:04, so I expect I'll be at the Barley Mow about 20:15.

I think I'll phone the pub in advance to check if they're serving any food other than cheesy chips tonight.

Another good turnout with 9 members attending. Plenty of Bristol ale shifted and a few bowls of cheesy chips. Sadly, Robin failed to bring his guitar and there was no sign of Mr Perks. Was this another memory lapse or a SWMBO intervention?

In case anybody hasn't noticed it on the "Bath Road Depot" thread, we are having another one of these meetings at the Barley Mow on Monday 26th November.

The main purpose is to get a plan of Bath Road offices together, so any former 82A men will be more then welcome, as of course will anybody else.

Usual 2000 or so kick-off.

The Northern contingent will have to "chip out" on that one sadly.

Have a good night lads.

Just a final reminder that we are having another meeting down at the Barley Mow this coming Monday evening, 26th November.

Whilst the primary purpose of the meeting is to produce a plan of Bath Road Depot's office block, we will no doubt end up talking about a number of other things and also, of course (in the words of Les Dawson) "stop a few going sour"

Roy ("the green mile") and I have been working on the plans all week, and we now have something that we think is more or less right. If anybody would like to look at these plans prior to Mondy's meeting, please email me (my email address is on my "profile" page) and I will send you copies of them by email attachment.

As ever, anybody who wants to come along will be welcome, and anybody who knows anything about the layout at Bath Road especially so :)
