The Royal Train.

Post by stopblock »

I see from a drivers comment on Facebook that the royal past our area today. He indicated that it made a pick up at Patchway (really Little stoke) station. Her Majesty and The Duke were on board and picked up Charles and Camilla at Patchway.
I bet Patchway Station has never looked so good :D

The driver isnt one for telling lies ! So I have no reason to disbelive him.He says he woked it from Westbry to Patchway and got releif there and they got on board and it continued through to Cardiff. Quick google would prove his tale correct..

Well, nice to see people supporting their local station.

I suppose being as Patchway is unstaffed they had to buy their tickets on the train.

I can just see Her Maj descending on the pair with her Avantix at the ready!

I presume they may have flew in to Filton on a helicopter and a eurotaxi to patchway ! or even possibly walked.Charlie will usually board the train at Kemble. Must be a good reason to have used patchway.

The Royal Train stopped around mid morning at Patchway. Approx 25 police officers were at the station. Charles and Camilla arrived in a Range Rover, probably from Highgrove, walked over the station footbridge and joined the train for Cardiff. <BJ>

Just the 25 police officers eh?

Its amazing, when anyone else genuinely needs one, they are never around.
