dmu`s in Bristol

Hi Folks,
I have the chance to buy a model class 110, 3 car dmu set ( Calder Valley ) for my oo guage railway " Lawrence Hill " Obviously this is prototypically " wrong " but how wrong ?
When did dmu`s appear in Bristol ? and did any resemble class 110 ( green livery, whiskers etc. ) ?
I`m not hung up on minor details, just want to be close to the actual scene, any info welcome

Bristol definitely had class 118 DMUs from 1960 in green with speed whiskers (though those got replaced with yellow panels fairly quickly). Built by the same company as the 110 (BRCW) so may share some mechanics body sides etc but definitely has a different cab (I don't think the 110 shares a cab design with anything).

I think that Bristol also had classes 116, 117, 119, 120 and 121 in that period but not certain on the livery (probably green with speed whiskers).

The 116's were mainly in South wales I think, but did turn up from time to time. (I can remember them on occasions on Severn Beach trains)

I think that 118's were also around also at that time, plus 122's on Severn Beach services, and 123's on Portsmouth-Cardiff services. I'm not sure if the 123's had "whiskers" in "green" days, but I'm sure all the others did....

Does anyone remember the Bristol/ECW railcar, only two were made at Bristol commercial vehicles Brislington a 56 seater,

When I was young I did not think much of DMUs they got in the way of hymeks and westerns but the above pics of them are great!

I can remember a Metro Cammel 101 from Tyseley turning up and covering some Severn Beach turns in the very early '70s. I also remember a railbus sitting on a low-loader in Lawrence Hill Bus Depot for some around the same time. (Along witha double-decker bus that had been on a single-decker turn and the driver forgot about a low bridge!)
