A run on the Harbour Railway

Post by mow »

Much to my surprise the Harbour Railway was running last weekend. I was even more surprised when the train stopped short of the Industrial Museum site and reversed along the line between River Avon and Cumberland Road to the disused Ashton Swing Bridge.

They've been doing this for a while now. With the Industrial Museum being rebuilt there's no platform at that end of the harbour so they run to the Create Centre and back. On running days there's a guy stationed on the junction all day long, flipping the points and flagging the cars.

I thought it was better value for money, going along the New Cut then on to the Create Centre. I think my niece enjoyed the ride.

If anyone can help me with the captions I would appreciate the input.

If Mad Hattie wants copies of the shots, I can forward them.
