There's a rather excellent model of Midsomer Norton in this months (june) Railway Modeller. It features over 6 pages and is well worth taking a look at.

The article in the Railway Modeller, is very well done. Midsomer Norton is indeed a good subject for a model, it is a nice compact site, so fits easily. There are lots of photographs available and I doubt wether it is still in print but there was a publication in 1982, by the HMRS entitled "all about Midsomer Norton" which has the drawings of just about every building on the site, it might be still around on the second hand market. The other big plus is that most of it is thankfully still in existence and being looked after by the Somerset and Dorset Heritage Railway Trust. Thank goodness it was used by Norton Hill School and not bulldozed like the rest of the line. There was also an S4 layout on the exhibition circuit in the Nineties. (by the South Hants Model Railway club).
